ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati - Transfer to Tezpur (Approx 200 km / 5 hrs): Upon your arrival at Guwahati airport, our representative will greet you and assist in your transfer to Tezpur. Enjoy the scenic drive as you make your way to Tezpur. Once you have checked in at the hotel, take the opportunity to explore the delightful town for the remainder of the day. Agnigarh, Cole Park, and Mahabhairab Temple are popular tourist spots in Tezpur.
Day 2: Tezpur - Dirang (Approx 150 km / 5 hrs): Begin your journey to Dirang after breakfast, but take the chance to stop at the Orchid Research Centre Tipi along the way. This orchidarium boasts an impressive collection of 10,000 orchids from various genera and species, making it a must-see attraction for nature lovers. Keep your cameras ready to capture the stunning waterfalls and breathtaking views as you continue your drive. On the route, you can also visit Nag Mandir. Once you arrive in Dirang, check into your hotel and enjoy a tasty lunch. Then, explore the regional Apple Nursery, Kiwi Farm, Hot Water Springs, Sangti Valley, and Dzong Fort. You'll have a comfortable overnight stay in Dirang.
Day 3: Dirang - Tawang (Approx 140 km / 6 hrs): You will head to Tawang after breakfast. You will stop at the war cemetery and continue driving until we reach the scenic Sela Pass, located at 4170 meters or 13700 feet. This pass is known for its beautiful high-altitude lakes. You will then visit the Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to the brave Indian soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat. Finally, you will see the stunning Nuranang Falls (Jang Falls) before arriving at our hotel in Tawang for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Tawang Sight Seeing: After Breakfast, you have 2 options for the day. We can visit Bum La Pass (Indo-China Border), for which you will have to take a permit from the DC office at Tawang on your own, Sangestar Lake (Madhuri Lake), and Pangateng Tso Lake (P.Tso Lake). Please note that you will also have to take a local taxi in Tawang on a direct payment basis to cover these places as our vehicles are not allowed.
Or you may visit Tawang Monastery (Namgey Lhatse), Buddha Statue, and Tawang War Memorial Light and sound show.
It may not be possible to cover all the places in a day if you visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake. Return to hotel in the evening and overnight stay in Tawang.
Day 5: Tawang - Bomdila (Approx 190 km / 7 hrs): Leave Tawang and drive towards Bomdila, another picturesque hill town. During your stay in Bomdila, visit the Bomdila Monastery, Bomdila View Point, and the Apple Orchards. These attractions offer stunning panoramic Himalayan landscapes and snow-capped mountain ranges. In the evening, take a stroll through the local market. You will be staying overnight in Bomdila.
Day 6: Bomdila - Guwahati (335 km / 7 hrs): Start your journey back to Guwahati after breakfast. Enjoy the scenic drive as you traverse through the picturesque landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Arrive in Guwahati and check in at the hotel. Spend the evening leisurely, exploring the local markets or stroll along the Brahmaputra River. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 7: Departure from Guwahati: Start your day early by visiting Maa Kamakya. Enjoy a packed breakfast and, if time allows, explore other temples in Guwahati, such as Purva Tirupati Shri Balaji Temple, Sukreswar Temple, Navagraha Temple, and Umananda Temple located at the Peacock Island, which happens to be the world's smallest inhabited river island. After an enjoyable exploration of Arunachal Pradesh, it's time to say goodbye. Check out from the hotel and head to Guwahati airport for your onward journey, carrying cherished memories of this remarkable trip.
