ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Guwahati and Transfer to Shillong
Upon your arrival at Guwahati, our representative will greet you at the airport and assist with your transfer to Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. Enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 110 kilometers, taking around 3 hours. En route, stop at Umium Lake, a viewpoint to soak in the beauty of this picturesque lake. Check in at your hotel in Shillong and unwind for the day.
Day 2: Shillong - Dawki - Mawlynnong - Shillong
Embark on a full-day excursion to Dawki and Mawlynnong, two stunning destinations in Meghalaya. Begin with a morning drive to Dawki, where you'll visit the Indo-Bangladesh border and experience the mesmerizing Umngot River. You can even enjoy a country boat ride on the river (additional cost). Continue to Mawlynnong, known for its cleanliness and scenic beauty. Explore the village, take a short trek to the living root bridge, and marvel at the natural balancing rock. In the evening, return to Shillong and relax at your hotel.
Day 3: Shillong - Cherrapunjee
Start with a hearty breakfast. Take a local tour of Shillong, including the Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays), the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, and the Golf Course. Head from Shillong to Cherrapunjee for a nature adventure and visit one of the rainiest places on earth. The drive covers approximately 60 kilometers and takes around 2 hours. En route, visit Elephant Falls, a beautiful cascade amidst lush greenery. On reaching Cherrapunjee, explore the town's attractions. Enjoy an overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.
Day 4: Cherrapunjee Local Sightseeing - Shillong
Embark on a sightseeing tour of Cherrapunjee, exploring its natural wonders and attractions. Visit the Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth-highest waterfall in the world), Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Dainthlen Waterfalls, Eco Park, and the Rama Krishna Mission Museum. Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing - Guwahati
